Ralph Wiesbrock (OAA, FRAIC, LEED AP)

Senior Architect

Ralph has amassed over 25 years of design and contract administration experience in a wide range of building types from large-scale institutional to multi-unit residential. He has developed particular expertise in the rehabilitation and adaptive re-use of culturally significant heritage buildings, most recently leading the local team on the award-winning Senate of Canada Building. His technical precision and organizational clarity, lend themselves to the challenges of complex building retro-fits.

Ralph was an early adopter and remains a champion of sustainable design, garnering Ontario’s first LEED Platinum certified Commercial Interior project for Halsall’s Ottawa office, and more recently, LEED Gold Certification for the Vanier Hall renovation at the University of Ottawa, and 4 Green Globes for the Senate of Canada Building. Beyond his professional merits, Ralph is an unwavering supporter of urban design and the profession. He has held the position of Regional Director on the Board of the RAIC, was past member of the Downtown Urban Design Peer Review Panel, and past chair of the Urban Forum lecture series. The only thing that rivals Ralph’s commitment for the profession is his commitment to his racetrack-worthy Miata.
