Maurizio Martignago (OAA, MRAIC, LEED AP)

Senior Architect

With over 25 years of experience, Maurizio brings a broad and comprehensive range of skills to his role as principal with KWC, from project development through to implementation of institutional, office, educational, residential, cultural, and community buildings, as well as specific expertise in laboratory design. His skills are supported by advanced knowledge of contemporary construction environments and technologies. He has significant technical expertise in detailing, building envelope design and code compliance, as well as specification writing.

Recent projects include the Collections and Conservation Centre for Ingenium (formerly the Science and Technology Museum Corp), the award-winning National War Memorial rehabilitation and the NRC Flight Research Facility at Uplands Ottawa. Maurizio was a faculty member at Carleton University’s School of Architecture program in the design studio, and is a past member of the Downtown Ottawa Urban Peer Review Panel. When not busy perfecting a building envelope detail or mentoring a junior team member, you’ll find Maurizio cycling on his vintage Italian made road bike.
